United Micro notebooks?

Being that there's about a bazillion messages in the "best desktop/laptop" threads, I hope it's okay for me to re-post this where it might be seen. My question is about the United Micro notebooks listed on pricewatch. I've not seen one review or close up pics of them besides what's on United Micro's site. So naturally, I'm curious what the deal is since their stuff is what you first see when you look for a notebook on Pricewatch. I've also read some horror stories about their service so I don't want to be the first to try one out but dang if their pricing isn't intriguing.

Anyone here have one? Or have some reviews of them?
