Default PT10 import MP4 file plays back slow

Hi all I have PT10 system I imported a mp4 file we recorded for a Facebook live stream. We also recorded a PT10 16 track mix I wanted to edit and replace the mp4 audio track. However when I import the mp4 file into the project it plays back very slow. It seem there is a sample rate mistmatch. My project is in 48kHz and the mp4 audio stream is also 48kHz so should match without any conversion. What gives?

mp4 info:
Stream O
Codec +4264 MPEG-A AVC (part 10) (avc1)
Type: Video
Video resolution: E4Dx360
Buffer dimensions: 64Dx368
Frame rate: 29.967336
Decoded format:
Orientation: Top left
Chroma location: Left
Stream I
Codec: MPEG AAC Audio (mp4a)
Type: Audio
Channels: Stereo
Sample rate: 48000 Hz
Bits per sample: 32
AAC extension: S8R

What gives is there *is* a sample rate mismatch. Either what you think was originally recorded at 48kHz is not or you are unintentionally changing that somewhere in your workflow, including maybe by applying SRC when you did not mean to.

These problems are always sample rate mismatches, you just need to work out what is going wrong. Nobody here can really guess for you.

An MP4 header saying what a sample rate is does not tell you that is what the sample rate really is. How did this actually get made?

Or dump that audio content out, guess what the real rate is and apply SRC when you import/copy in the audio.

Thanks for the feedback.
I found the preferred solution was to convert the MP4 Video which had H264 and AAC to DNxHD and PCM at the same sample rate and bit size of my project.
This aligned correctly although the dnxhd video is HUGE.
