I’m still on 10HD. Like others I can’t see or justify upgrading. 10 is rock solid on my machine and gives me everything I need

PTHD 10.3.10 TDM here + PE6R4 -I + Snow Leopard & Moutain Lion

Mostly because i do not see any reasons to change. In case i'd like better converters than 192 i/o i buy news ones but 192 i/o are just fine.
No Waves plugings for news avid DSP cards, many are saying TLSpace does not sound as good as the TDM one on HDX
Snow Leopard is so fast to start and to shut down on SSD - Apple has never succeded in making such a stable & fast OS

Why would i change at all ? Off line & accelerated bounce ? yeah that feature is the only one missing in PT10 and shouldn't cost that much to avid to implement it but, that will never be.

PT 10 HD Accel + PE6r4, Mac OS 10.9.5, 64GB RAM. My 192i/o has upgraded converters, audio path components and, an Antelope clock. Vienna Ensemble Pro 6 helps with 64 bit VIs.

My rig sounds good to me and suits my workflow as a composer. Heavy workloads with weekly deadlines often mean I’m mixing while I’m writing. My rig lets me keep up with the schedule.

None of my colleagues like their HDX rigs.

I'm still on 10.3.10. My reason?

I have Factory 003, which works great and a mid-2007 iMac running 10.7.5.
About several months ago, I tried to update and things went sideways, so restored back to where I was. Few years ago I popped a 256GiB SSD drive in the old iMAC, runs like a top.

I have plenty I/O for what I do with an additional optical Digimax FX and 4 TubePre's going into the Line In's of the Factory. I have an old Waves Bundle, EZ drummer, and man I'm good...

Being as old as my rig is, everything would have to be upgraded and replaced, thus mine doesn't cost me a dime now... and it works! :)

Pro Tools 10HD on and Accel HD|3 here running 192s, 96 and Rosetta 800 with an Avid C24. Very happy and don't have any reason to change. Mostly tracking and mixing with hybrid setup so system is never taxed hard but is reliable which is the key.

I would love to upgrade my software but won't do it as it would cripple my Control 24 which still works like a charm. I am aware of the guy who is selling software that links the Control 24 with PT 12 but not sure I want to go down that route...expensive and unsure whether all of my required functionality with the Control 24 would still be there

Neyrinck does not work great what so ever so if you dont ”need” to update PT don’t as PT10HD is a much more stable version than the newer versions that needs this GPU card and That processor etc etc etc so stay and work with what you got until it doesn’t work anymore which wont happen until your setup break which we hope will not happen for quite a whlle

Just made the jump to a Aurora 16 / AES-16e card.

I'm upgrading my PT9 to the reinstatement upgrade, which I believe it only goes up to PT12.

Any recommendations on which version of PT12 play nice with the AES-16e card. I read that PT12.4 is as far as it goes ?

Reinstatement goes all the way to the latest (2019.x) version of PT.
