Will my new laptop run Pro Tools 9???
I am investing in buying a new laptop, and I am looking into getting pro tools 9 to self record this month as I have experience using it, but I am not too good with what the system requirements etc are.
The laptop has a quad core AMD 1.6GHz processor, with 6GB Ram, will this be enough? Also, I realise it has to be run through a preamp, does this hasve to be a specific preamp for pro tools or can it be any preamp. The preamp in question is the Tascam US 122 USB Audio/audio interface. I don't want to waste money if it will be pointless, so any help would be massively appreciated, Cheers |

Other solid options are of course Macbook, Macbook Pro, or check out the Livebook or Livebook 2. Also, make sure that the US 122 is compatible and a solid audio interface with PT9. Lastly, what is your session workflow? This will determine the type processor and amount of RAM needed for the laptop. |
