What’s the best way to send a monitor out signal via spdif that doesn’t go through the omni’s control room volume control?

I am trying to send a monitor out via spidf to my dbox + which will run my headphones and monitor selection.

One technique would be to leverage the BUS tab of the IO setup to create a Mult. Here's an explanation of the functionality from one of our blogs:

A MULT can be done by using the “Ctrl+click” (OSX) or “Start+click” (Win) modifier in the “Mapping to Output” selector, and choosing an additional output.

Thanks Jeff, I do really appreciate the help in here!

I was able to figure out how to get my rig set up for my basic needs right now until I add more I/O.

I learned I had to disable the monitor option on the Omni to get it to revert to normal line level output on the assignable outputs. So I did SPDIF and analog 1-6 for my 8 outs in the hardware setup. In the I/O setup I made my SPIDF my monitor output/main bus which will feed my DBOX+. The DBOX will play mac audio via Bluetooth so I can A/B stuff using the same converters. Analog 1-6 will feed cue mixes to my headphone amps.
