Default Updating from El Capitan to Mojave, will PT 12.5 work?

H I have been advised to update my OS from El Capitan to Mojave
will my Pro Tools 12.5 still work?

You can try, but it is not supported. It’s many versions out of date.

Is there a reason you need to upgrade to Mojave? Would creating a dual boot system work instead?

Partition your drive using Disk Utility and install Mojave on the new partition.

I suggest you make a backup/clone of your existing drive before going any further for safety reasons.

If you search online you’ll find plenty of detailed info and step by step guides.
