Default Import video from DVD

I'm having a bit of trouble importing the video from a DVD. I've converted it to .mp4, and it still won't import. I do have Quicktime installed. What is the solution? I rarely work with video.

My system:
Win 7 Pro 32 bit
PTHD 8
