$300 Million. Not bad. I wonder how Dylan was able to retain the publishing rights when he first got a record deal, given when that was, and contracts were not artist friendly?

According to:
http://www.personalmanagershalloffam...-grossman.html

“On August 20, 1962, Dylan signed a contract which made Grossman his manager …..
The contracts between Dylan and Grossman were officially dissolved on July 17, 1970, prompted by Dylan's earlier realization that Grossman had taken 50% of his song publishing rights in a hastily signed contract.”

Must be something "in the air" -

Neil Young sells 50% of entire song catalogue rights to Hipgnosis

Let's not forget the musicians that are selling off gear. Junky XL is selling off a bunch of his hardware synths like the ARP 2600 he used on the Deadpool soundtracks and other stuff or Robbie Robertson selling off the Neve console he used with Scorsese and other people.
