Can't drop markers with Enter key!

I really hope this issue has an easy solution. I've just upgraded to 8.0.4 on Snow Leopard / Macbook Pro, and I can't figure out how to drop markers. Function+return doesn't work (this laptop has no separate enter key) and my external keyboard thinks the "enter" on the numeric pad is for "play" instead of "add memory location." I'm out of ideas. I've used Pro Tools 6.8 before on an old powerbook, and everything was fine.

Also, I can't right click to scrub anymore?

Thanks a lot guys - I need this for work, so I'm really screwed if I don't figure this out soon.

First, yes, macboopro's doesn't have numpads, so fn+return wouldn't work.
But!
Look at setup/preferences/operation tab
There you can find some numeric keypad settings...

Don't know if other's have had any luck with this, but I downloaded the KeyRemapper4MacBook, remapped some of the keys, and it works perfectly. I can hold the fn key and use my keyboard like a numeric keypad if i need to.

Does the new Macbook Pro not have an Enter key?

Mine definitely does... and it even drops markers. Should be to the right of the spacebar...?

nope, the enter key is now function+return. I got this computer less than a month ago, so it's possible they just changed it recently.

and just to be clear, scrubbing with the right mouse button is gone forever now? No way to do it without pressing "control" ?

fn and enter key work for on the fly memory locations dropping on MacBook Pro.
