How to lock a grid onto a song
Hi I am having a problem putting an accurate grid onto an existing song. I am using the song as a click track per se.. All is well of course overdubbing. But I am trying to get BFD to lock to the song so I need an accurate grid. I tried using beat detective on the stereo mix (one side of it) but it goes out of time. I messed around alot with it and ended up with some weird low tempo number like 11 etc. (Super slow) Almost have given up. Hopefully someone can help.
Thanks in advance! John |

Re: How to lock a grid onto a song
Beat Detective will work but, are you familiar with Identify Beat?
Read up on it in the manual. Try finding the beat for smaller sections of the song, maybe no more than 4 or 8 bars at a time depending on what part of the song. Do this the whole way through, the tempo and grid should then match the speed of the song. |
