Default Feature Request -

This is a total dialogue editor type of request. It would be swell if there were a "handle length option" on the audio suite gain tool.

This would be helpful for dialogue editors who need to gain up groups of regions before extensions and cross fades are created. This would save the extra time and tedium that is needed to creating extensions individually on tens or hundreds of regions for that low recorded track. The gain adjusted file would then have the option to extend for smooth smooth fade transitions.

Is this too geeky of a request? Is there any other dialogue editors or reality TV post people out there who think this is a worthy request?

This has long been desired and falls under the "Audiosuite Handles" heading. Search that for more rants!

I´ve been one of the ranters.
So... +1 from me.

Also I suggest you post a request with the feature request form.

Submitting an email support request and marking it as feature request is a good idea. I would also strongly encourage making your vote over at the Ideascale forums for Pro Tools:

+1

(been asking for this since PT5. and no, it's not too geeky, it's incredibly relevant for noise reduction, too)

Yes I've seen it on the DUC before and I hope this will be addressed. The sooner the better. Until then trim trim process fade fade
