Default PTLE 6.4 with Final Cut Express HD

I can't get the core audio driver to work in conjunction with Final Cut Express HD.

Anybody got a clue?

If you're using your Deck/Camera as a firewire interface for FC then Audio goes out firewire, so it won't use the Digi Hardware. If not then you need to add FC as a supported program in the Digi Core Audio Manager

Thanks for your reply.

I Do use my DV camera as firewire interface for uploading video/audio.

I have added Final Cut as a Core Audio supported program. Maybe it's as simple as unplugging the camera for editing?
I'm not at my house presently or I'd try. I'll check it out tonight and post back.

Jace

If you use DV Firewire out to view Video on and external monitor then the Audio thru Digi hardware will be out of synch. If you view the video on the computer monitor, you can then use Digi hardware to monitor audio.

Go to VIEW on the top menu in Final Cut and scroll down to Audio playback. Your Digi hardware should be in the list if you have it selected as an Audio Output in System Prefs.

This is not an option in Final Cut Express HD 3.0

I asked around before I bought this damn software and was told it would work with a 001 PTLE 6.4

Was I told wrong?
