I'm using an ADI-8 with my 002R. Through PTLE, it clocks to the RME no problems with the ADAT i/o.

I haven't been able to get it to clock to the RME using Core Audio, however. I've only tried that with DP and every time I switch to external sync, it crashes DP. I can use the RME with DP if I clock through the 002R. I think that's a bug in Core Audio - or I suppose you could call it an omission of all the features.

I just got an ADI-2. Now , my chain is: RNP>>> (via 1/4 TRS) RME ADI-2>>>Mbox (via spdif. I am happy with it but I have some issues. I cant get it to remember the settings from the last time I use it. It takes a long time to get it to "sync" with the mbox. I end up setting it up right and I get this strange interference. The only way to get rid of it is keep toggling between the different sample rates back to the same one again and again then the noise stops. I have no doubt it's user error (I hope. RME's Website offers no troubleshooting tips etc...The thing sounds good but a little user "un" friendlly.

hey, try experimenting with power-on order changes. usually i have to turn on my external clock BEFORE the digi hardware. To lwilliam: i've heard that's a nice converter, how does it compare with the stock digi converters?
