Sonnet Yin Yang FW800 / FW400 splitter
I currently have several FW800 only external HDDs, which don't get turned on unless they need to be. My mac is a single FW800 port only, while my audio interface is FW400. So to use the FW800 drives when I need them, I have to unplug my FW400 daisy chain, and insert the FW800 drive and an adaptor cable.
This is annoying, and I rather not have these FW800 drives connected and powered up all the time. Has anyone used the sonnet Yin Yang adaptor with an audio interface? Any problems? Looks like it would be a great solution for my dilemna if it works as advertised.

Re: Sonnet Yin Yang FW800 / FW400 splitter
Well there are quite a few bad reviews on amazon about this device, some people are saying that it doesn't work at all with audio interfaces, and some are saying that it slows everything down to FW400 speeds, so I'm not going to waste my money on it.
