Connecting multiple midi devices, help please.
In order to get the fun stuff out of the way,
Mac Pro w/ 5 G RAM Pro Tools HD v.7.3 latest update. LaCie BigDisk 1T Command 8 Keystation 88 Simmons SD7K Okay, I just purchased the Simmons elec. set and want to add it to the mix. When I connect via usb, it kicks the Keystation 88 out. Pro Tools still sees the keystation in the audio midi setup/ midi devices window, yet changed the pic to the back of the drum module in the Keystation 88 box and will not highlight when I click on it. I would like to be able to use both midi devices, not simultaneously, yet without having to fuss. What can I do to get these to work together. Do I need a midi i/o??? |

Re: Connecting multiple midi devices, help please.
You may well need something like the Midiman Midisport 2 x 2,a USB midi box, which should help you to ge the drums talking to Protools. I could be wrong, but that's the way my system works with multiple MIDI devices.
