Default Pro Tools newb question

Recently got pro tools LE with an MBox2 interface for my MacBook. Cannot hear any midi output at all, even though I can see that there is a signal on the monitors, also cannot hear click track. Am not currently using any midi instrument, is this my problem?

Midi output is not an audio signal, but a set of commands. To hear anything, you need to have the midi output either controlling some hardware synth or other keyboard and have the audio output from that routed correctly through your sound system, OR, you can set up an instrument track in PT and load in a soft-synth, such as Xpand (free download, if you don't already have it). The audio from that will route through your MBox2 interface and you can use either your headphones or amped audio to hear it, depending on how you've routed your audio.

The click track is separate. You should hear that through your Mbox audio output.

I have "m-audio uno" that im trying to connect to Fantom X and use midi with Pro Tools LE, live 6.0.2, and other plugins. I connected uno with Fantom but it seems not to work with those programs. Can someone tell me how to do it?

I want to use Fantom X as a midi keyboard.
