Does Pro Tools have on board Mastering preset templates?

Having just recently left my Roland hard disc recorder for PT 10 I'm still not sure about all that comes within it. My Roland had preset mastering settings that worked great for quick demos, it included settings like "rockband", "Jazz", Pop" ect. Obviously I wouldnt use these for an album or something important, but for a quick and dirty demo or project that needs to go out quick they work fine.

So does PT10 have anything like this without third party purchases?

No.

Pro Tools has some plugins that can be used for mastering--compressors etc. Folks typically doing high-end mastering will be using additional plugins or other tools.

Maxim plug-in with its included Dither sounds great! You can use it not just in the master channel, so too in the groups.
