Question for those using v9. Do you have to stay connected to the internet at all times now since the licenses are stored on the cloud?

Does the Waves application have to run in the background as well?


I understand them trying to be rid of iLok fees but I'd really rather pay an extra few dollars to have the choice of keeping my licenses on an iLok.

The new way to store your auth's actually works and is not at all difficult to do. It is also way safer than the iLok way of doing things. Peace out.

I upgraded to Waves V9 two days ago and I tried using my plug-ins on somebody else's computer to see how the transfer of licenses would work. Pretty painless indeed... Then to put that computer back so that it didn't ask for licenses for my computer, it was as simple as dragging the WaveShell-DAE .0.dpm out of the Plug-ins folder. Pretty slick.
