Video Engine Problems with Pro Tools 11

Yeah, been fixed (not that it was particularly broken) since at least 11.2.1. The video engine in 11 bears no resemblance to 10. On a PC (Windows) it also allows you to use third party video output devices, such as Blackmagic, to output proper genlocked video output.

hmm I use 11.3.1 version and just get a white video window (DNxHD) workz in 10..?

I have two boot drives one is MT Lion and PT 10 and video playback has never been an issue. The other drive has PT 11.3.1 and 10.10.3. Video playback starts off fine and then after a few moments it gets all choppy playing the same session that was fine with PT 10 and MT Lion.
I tried putting the video on a separate drive and it made no diff.
Anyone with the same issue? I have tried H264 and Pro Res 422, no diff.
I finally got all my plugins working in PT 11 and now this is happening so I still can't use PT11 and 10.10.3 for work when video is involved.
I really don't want to buy PT 12 to find 600 bucks later it still has the issue.
I have a R9 280X video card which works great with everything but video in Pro Tools 11 when in Yosemite.
Does anyone have normal video playback in PT 11.3.1 and 10.10.3?
I guess some folks are not even getting video to playback at all....

Like 8db, I have not had any problems running video in PT 11.3.1. But I am running PT under Win 7 on a PC, not a Mac.

same problems still appear in pt 12.

till today i haven't been able to play a single 90min movie file without problems after 10-15min. i really tried every fix i could find...

any news?

After several weeks of no problems on pt12 I've had several days of "waiting for video operation to complete" messages and the consequent system lockup that occurs, much like problems I had in early versions of pt11. Pictures play off a dedicated Samsung 850evo 512gb drive internal to my Mac Pro 5,1. Mac OS X 10.8.5. Black magic driver is at last 10.8.5 supported version. Avid DNx36 pics.

This needs to work.

This is my last Pro Tools purchase.
