Barry, I'm having an issue with my Pro Tools on my 2.66GHz i7 MacBook Pro also. Just updated to the 8.0.4 and still kind of having issues with it. It only works with one usb port, and it just doesn't record the same. (Sound Issues) But the link above does not work. Do you know of anywhere else that has information on what you're talking about?
