Default how to control PTMP using Ozonic

If using PTMP 6.8, go here (http://www.digidesign.com/download/controllers/) and download the Legacy Midi Controller profiles for PTLE 6.7.
Check out the sections in the MIDI Cntrl Surfaces Guide pdf included with the Legacy Midi Controllers download on the CS-10 and Using Other Controllers for more info.
Copy the CS-10 profile into /Applications/Digidesign/Pro Tools/Controllers
When you open Pro Tools, go into Setups->Peripherals->Midi Controllers
Select the CS-10, Send/Receive "Ozonic keyboard", and 8 channels

Pick a preset, any blank preset on your Ozonic.

Global channel 16
Faders C1-9 = cc's 64-71 (track volume control)
Buttons C32-39 = cc's 0-7, (date min = data max = 127), (mute or whatever buttons)
Button C40 = cc 8, (date min = data max = 127), (mode switch)
Button C27 = cc 19 (rewind)
Button C28 = cc 21 (stop)
Button C29 = cc 23 (record)
Button C30 = cc 22 (play)
Button C31 = cc 20 (fast forward)
Knobs B10,11,12 = cc's 72,73,74 (sends 3,4,5)
Knobs B14,15,16 = cc's 75,76,77 (sends 1,2, pan)
Pitch bend A22 = cc 9 (shift)
Mod wheel A32 = cc 14 (option)
Knob B13 = cc 15 (control)
Knob B14 = cc 15 (command)
Joystick B18 = cc 29 (right)
Joystick B19 = cc 28 (left)
Joystick B20 = cc 26 (up)
Joystick B21 = cc 27 (down)

That's how I set up my preset. You can do it however you like. Unless noted, data min = 0 and data max = 127

This setup will work with any midi controller that you can manually configure. Otherwise, you could make a translator using MidiPipe.

Default Re: how to control PTMP using Ozonic

Heya Hogie,

Cheers for this. I saw this on the Live Forum site and wasn't sure if you were going to post it over here.

Almost made a link myself!

Quick question: I can't seem to locate buttons C27-C31.

I know it's early and I HAVEN'T had my coffee yet but the sliders are labelled C1-C9 and the buttons below are C32-C40 but for the life of me I can't see C27-C31.

Do these need to be re-programed from another set of buttons?

R.

Oops. Those are actually buttons A27-31. The ones with the ffwd, stop, rec, play, rwd labels. I just made a little mistake...

Duh... I TOLD you I hadn't had my coffee yet.

So THAT'S what those symbols mean: PLAY, RECORD, FF, RW, STOP.

MUST... LOOK... CLOSER... NEXT... TIME

Cheers for that!
