Default Issues when playing back files on PT11

I have the eleven rack 1.1.6 which I'm using with PT11 11.0.2. The everything is great until i go to play what i just recorded. Sounds like a bad robotic static (best i can do to describe it) during recording the sound is great just when playing back. Same thing happens when I try to work on the pre-recorded sessions that came as samples in PT 11. I'm very new to PT and daws as a whole, so hopefully is just a beginners mistake on settings.

I followed the system optimization instructions from avid. I have looked on forums all over through google searches but cant find nothing on my particular issue.

I hope this is the right place to put this tread up. Thanks in advance.
