Default Crtl-nudge and sync-point

Hi,

I was wondering why the sync-point doesn´t move along with the audio when using ctrl-nudge (+-)?
Wouldn´t it make more sense if the sync-point stuck to the audio and not to a fixed point of the clip?

I also wish there was a kind of "slide audio" so that the audio at the sync-point slides to the cursor-position. Meaning that the audio slips within the region boundaries without movig the region-position.
Something like "crtl-shift-click on region" (snap to sync-point) for the clip content. (Of course this only makes sense when the cursor is within the region-boundaries.

frank.

Very cool ideas. I have always wondered about the sync point not moving as well. I assume it is measured from the region start.
Other idea is good as well.

Your first point: SADiE functions in this way. It's a good point you make and Digi should add it to the list.

Second point: I'm not sure I'd use that much to be honest, would you? When?

The biggest gripe of course with 'slide' is that it is by the nudge amount at all. You can't slide freehand, with the mouse!!

yes, and make it scrub-able while your at it digi. Look at the competition for examples: old Akai DD1500, AMS Audiofile and your own AudioVision if I remember well (I haven't turned it on the last few years) and of course the more current ones...

Greetings,

Thierry
