I have an iPad 2 with AC7 which does well, but I've been seeing ads for V-Control Pro around the interwebs lately, but it seems kinda pricy compared to AC7. AC7 does not do anything with plugins whereas V-Control Pro does so maybe it's worth the extra cash to some.

I've also got AC-7 which 'does what it says on the tin' fine. Although V-Control looks good, especially the ability to control plugins, etc., I don't like having to use their wifi utility on the Mac instead of the standard OS-supported approach - have yet to try out this new DAW Remote HD but certainly looks nice.

Did you take the recent Avid survey ... does sound like they may be considering iPad app(s) for PT also?!

Yeah, I'm hoping they'll have something that can do with Pro Tools 10 what Garage Band iPad does with Garage Band Mac. I like GB fine on my iPad but since I'm using Windows it's all but useless for me - I can't even export stems or MIDI data; just full mixdowns. That's basically what I wrote in the comments of the survey, too. Come in, smash Garage Band, charge less than an arm and a leg, and let me work with those projects in Pro Tools, and I'll go buy an iPad-geared audio interface. Nom nom nom.
