I have to agree with many here there really is no logical reason to implement some new color for faders . The stock implementation and choices is arguably one of if not the best most logical and easy to know the session status at a glance ...I have seen yet

Can you make your own fader in Photoshop and replace the fader graphic file that pro tools reads from so it loads your custom fader?

What do the members think?
Thought I would ask why or how exactly would having the Aux ,Sub, VCA faders a different color "saves steps when setting up a mix" ?
Particularly since those tracks can be color coded to be distinct and recognizable and be pre set up in both session templates and now track presets in 2018 or the old "track hack" for previous versions .

Especially since you only have to set your mix window the way you want it and with one click presto you have a template. That you can have unlimited versions of. That can have different window arrangements for. Don't see the need for changing any fader colors

This can't change.

Therefore this request will never happen.

Can't the same code be written for the other types of "track"? After, all, isn't making the "trim" fader a different colour similar in concept, to making VCAs etc different colours?

But then how would you know you're in Trim?

A fader cap can't be two colors at once can it?

First things first; is this yellow-fader feature only in HD, or is it in Vanilla, as well? I'm a Vanilla user.

Assuming, for the purposes of this discussion, that it's in both, are the yellow faders in the photo, the result of a change of mode, for all faders; meaning, when you switch to "trim mode", they turn yellow? If that's the case, then, the change can be written to include only Audio, MIDI and maybe Instrument tracks; IOW, all the "grey fader tracks". Busses, VCAs and Master faders can stay in their designated colours; red, blue, white, green whatever the devs decide.

Just brainstorming ....
