Default Moving Settings

Working in a facility with multiple S6s and the staff will bounce around various rooms depending on scheduling. The surfaces are all identical. I'm wondering if it is possible to move my settings from room to room. I'd love to have everything on a thumbdrive and just plug in at the beginning of the day and load my settings up. Then when I leave for the night I can unplug and set it back to its previous state. I do quite a bit of customization of the preferences and the soft keys (especially) that are different from the other guys. Most are used to the stock config and I'd like to not mess with it. Plus I don't want to have to re-create all of my custom soft keys.

If not is is possible to somehow save my setup as a separate user so I can log in and use it and log out and put it back to default?

I'd like to know this as well. I do know layouts can be taken with you. You should be able to export your settings from the workstation/settings screen. I'm guessing Avid is working on it.

Hi guys -
Currently you could manually go to the Admin account and move the User Settings file between machines. But it is unsupported though…
I will look into if it's not the wish list.
Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom,

could you tell me how this works ? We´d urgently need that feature.
No matter it´s unsupported.

We updated to V1.4 recently.

Thanks !

Use with caution: These are hidden folders so you may need to unhide hidden files and folders.
