Antares MIC MOD EFX - AXX problems

Hi there , My latest version (AAX) Antares Mic Mod EFX does not show the mics list in the drop down box , and all knobs are grayed out and not functioning ..., the only thing that does work on the whole plug in is the tube saturation .

Ive contacted tech support a month ago who say they are working on it , but ive heard nothing back from them since, at the time they were not aware of the problems either ?


Am I the only one with this issue or is it across the board ?????


Im running PT 10.3.8 and PT 11.0.2. on Windows 7 64bit , i7, 187Ghz , 16gb ram,

I'll check mine when I get to the studio. I have the Avox bundle. All of the Antares AAX versions seem to be a bit unstable here.

I should also add that this latest version of Antares MIC MOD EFX ; version 2.0.1 - is also not working properly in Protools 10 either (ie; pt version 10.3 8)

Windows 7, i7 , 1.87Ghz, 16Gb ram , MBox Pro, SSD (for operating system) storage HHD7200rpm

I've just used it on my last song and mix, and it worked ok for me on PT 11.0.2 and then PT 11.1.1. The only problem I had was at one point I dragged it from one insert point to another on the same channel strip and it gave out a huge 'explosion' sound, but worked fine afterwards. I had 3 instances of it running 3 different mics. I haven't used it in PT 10.3.8 yet.

It was part of the new AVOX bundle and from my sig I'm on OSX.

Could it be a Windows issue?

Mic Mod running fine here on PT11.1.1 with Windows 7.

I tried dragging it to a different slot and that worked ok too without any big noise.

A little update,

It's loading and running as advertised in 11.1 here.

..., its already 2 months without a word from tech support . Last I heard was we are working on it ( 2 mths ago) .

..., and It seems I am not the only one either, as the Antares forum is also full of unhappy campers with the same problem ;

( previously on this thread I reported that it was working , but I was mistaken sorry , as this was actually an old version ver.1.0.4 in PT 10 that I got to work )

Thanks for checking that. A couple of things. I'm on OSX so there is a difference there. It appears that it was 'spurious'. It only happened that one time, although I haven't dragged it around since, however I'm running 3 instances on that session. It's a native plug and I had 2 DSP plugs before it in the chain. Not to diminish the OP's problem, but perhaps my occurrence was a confluence of unfortunate coincidences?

I've read through that thread and it's a problem on Antares' end with their installer. If Antares has a bug report area, they need to be notified as it appears to be their issue. Try running the installer from the desktop on the main system drive.
