Default Mac OSX Lion compatibility questions

Hello

I currently run Pro tools 9 on a MacBook pro with an Intel processor. I'm looking to make the switch over to Mac OSX Lion. My question is will pro tools 9, MBOX2 and Reason Essentials Demo work on Lion? I don't have enough money to afford reason 6 at the moment and I love reason essentials demo.

Any feedback would be very helpful.

thanks

Only Pro Tools 9.0.5 public beta will work with Lion.

All versions of Pro Tools software before Pro Tools 9.0.5 are not compatible and will not work with Lion. Not sure about Reason.

Hi,

9.0.5 and 9.0.6 are supported with Lion. 8.0.5 is not supported but will run under some circumstances.

The last pro tools user blog said that mountain lion will for sure crash pro tools and to not upgrade to it.

No.

There should be no confusion. You asked if Pro Tools 9 works with Lion. It does with 9.0.5 and 9.0.6 as stated. If you own Pro Tools 9, these updates are free. As RegenrationMix said...Pro Tools will not work with Mountain Lion. We'll all have to wait for Avid to release an update. Probably won't be for a while.
