Default upgrade from LE7 to LE9 for Snow Leopard

New to this forum, old to Pro Tools.
I just exchanged my Dell for a new Mac running OS X 10.6.5 Snow Leopard, with a 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3 Processor, and 4 GB 1333 MHzDDR3 memory. Unfortunately, I've been running LE 7 DigiDesign Rack 002 on my Dell, and I didn't discover that my software won't load into Snow Leopard until after the computer was bought. Time for a Pro Tools upgrade anyway.
Before I pay for this upgrade, though, I'd like to know if there are any issues with LE9 and Snow Leopard (don't want to get bit twice) and if I need to do anything to reconfigure my DigiDesign Rack 002.
Thanks for any help you can give!

10.6.4 and 10.6.5 work fine with PT9.

No problems for me on 10.6.5.

Just remember to download the latest driver for your hardware and also that it is no longer called Protools LE. Just Protools 9.

It's been very stable for me with an Eleven Rack.

I have installed PT9 with 10.6.5. I have a few issues.

Won't recognize 002
Have installed the drivers for 002 and PT9

In PT9, under settings, hardware, it is currently on Pro Tools Aggregate I/O
On the Mac, in Sys Pref, Audio, Pro Tools Aggregate I/O

Still plays through speakers on computer.

Under system pref, shows mbox and mbox2, no 002.

Where did I go wrong?

Had a similar problem, seems to be an issue with the way snow leopard handles firewire. Solved it by using an old firewire drive between the mac and the 002.

Cheers.

Thanks folks, for the info!
The transition from PC to Mac hasn't been smooth, what with discovering my entire Adobe Suite won't work, nor some expensive video editing software, PT7, etc.
I think I'm going to love this rig though.
Have a great Holiday Season!
