G5 quad 2.5 PCIe x MAC Pro 2.66 PCIe

Hi,
Can anyone inform me what might I be missing If I upgrade my system (G4 800 Q Mix 4) to a G5 2.5 quad ( along with HD2 Accel) instead of Mac Pro 2.66? I´ve read the recent threads concerning the startup issues and it got me worried. My current system, although obsolete, is rock solid.

personally if i were making money with that current system i would hold off. digi is due to change systems soon..i would wait till the next generation of the tdm hd system..accel has been around for a while now..and i personally am very tired of trading in cards a couple of times a year...the newer macs are also comming out in the next few months..i have g5 hd 3accel and am waiting to upgrade...7.3.1 absolutley has issues...great features but problems

mixer, what is the model of your G5?
Sure, it is time for a new HD Accel System, but... I am worried once I will be two generatins behindIf I did intend to upgrade to a new system

So, prices of my mix systems would be even lower. D

Digi would faciliate you users of HD/HD Accel to go to a new system. Mix would be pretty obsolete!

Whichever system you buy make sure you get an extended warrenty, my G5 quad died after 14 months requiring a new logic board, processor card and power supply.

Hey Mixer, where did you get the info about new Digi HW?
I have just upgraded my LE to a HD1....

DSD option? MAsterlist inside? full Music Notation?
A new pci XYZ format with the next generatin of MAc intels? LOL
NEw improved interfaces?
I would really appreciate to know that, because I´m close to upgrading stuff here.
