Default Group Attributes not staying - is this a bug?

Sometime recently (I think?) my system starting displaying an annoying and infinitely repeatable habit of failing to retain a "zero attribute" group setting.

Example:

1. New session with 2 audio tracks - no audio, no plugins.

2. Create a new edit/mix group and make sure that NOTHING is selected and "use globals" is unchecked.

3. Save and close session.

4. Reopen session and open group attributes dialog.

5. Attributes have somehow changed to "Volume, Mute and Automation Mode" checked.

Interesting thing is that if I check the box for ANY attribute, it remembers and stays asI left it after saving and reopening. It only loses its settings when everything is unchecked.

I use groups and VCAs with no attributes linked all the time and this has been driving me insane...

Is there are a preference I'm unaware of or is this a bug?

Failing to retain settings can't possibly be a "feature" can it?!?

OSX 10.7.3
PTHD 10.3.6
D-Command

Anyone?

I can only say that group behavior is still not right for me in PT 10. Every new group defaults to "follow globals." It used to be that whatever the attributes for the last group created would be the same as for the next group created, and then you change from there if need be. Now, not at all like that -- I get "follow globals" checked on every new group. Huge time waster. I've changed attributes and then immediately saved the template, but still, upon re-opening the session, the group default issue is back.

Same problem. New groups always default to "follow globals".
