Even if I would get it for free I wouldn't use it.
Think about it. You are using a more than 20 years old algorithms with updated graphics and still paying for it.

Yeah. Same reason I'd never buy a Les Paul - 60 year old tech, it must be rubbish.

On topic FWIW, I can't make that stacking thing work. One code just replaces the other. Just idle curiosity in my case - until Waves fix Waves Central to work properly with co-existing v9 and v10, I'm steering well clear.

Sigh... having to explain a joke ruins it. But since it appears to be necessary... does a plugin or instrument sound good or not? Age is basically irrelevant. Not to mention that Waves plugins are all different ages - some very old, some brand new and everything in between.

I spoke about no plugins or instruments but the algorithms or technology involved in plugin's design.
Many Waves plugins are using older technology and to my ears there are better alternatives now days. Having said that, we know about some fantastic algorithms which are still not outperformed for years (e.g Cedar DNS).
I completely disagree to look at the state of the art (it is art) music instruments and plugins in a same way. The digital audio (plugins) passed an enormous evolution and is still improving each year. They do sound better in 2018 than in1998. The real art is ageless and triggers the emotions of people.
Lets not mix the art and the metier.

Damn I just recently tried that with another dev, IK, I think and it wouldn't allow me to stack.

I should check it out again.
