Abelton or PT?
I'm thinking of making the permanent switch to Abelton Live. Everything I read is positive and I can use my PT hardware with it. I don't want to update to 002 or Tiger so why not? Any suggestions?

Re: Abelton or PT?
It really depends on what you're asking your software to do...quickly lay out some loop and sample based composition, maybe add a virtual instrment or two? Live wins hands down...
Do you have a massive of recorded material to scrub down and edit, then mix down with excrutiating automation detail??? Now it's PT's time to shine... I've loved Live since v.2, but it's still not a full-functioned and efficient DAW... I've loved PT since v.4, but it's not suited for on the fly composition YMMV

Re: Abelton or PT?
I use both. Rewire Live into Pro Tools and you can drop things in on the fly in time with your Pro Tools session! Works great!!
