Wav files in a Pro Tools Aiff session Does it Matter?
One of my friends recorded everything in Aiff on his mac. I was given the files on my mac and asked to add some sound effects which are all in wav format. Do I need to convert the sounds from wav to Aiff or is it fine to mix wav files in an Aiff pro tools session?

Re: Wav files in a Pro Tools Aiff session Does it Matter?
It is not necessary to convert to a single format. AIFF and WAV are largely the same save for the header info and PT now accepts mixed file formats in sessions. However, as a general rule WAV is more universal which may be useful if you ever need to open the project in another DAW.
