Default New Mixing Video featuring 11 Rack sounds

Hi everybody.

I posted a mixing video to demonstrate one of my mixing methods. I tracked all the guitars and bass with the Eleven Rack.

Enjoy and feedback welcome!

Thanks Benoni,

It's just a rough first attempt at a screen capture video. Hopefully future ones will be more interesting.

I'm planning on expanding this out to the whole recording process in a typical DAW/home studio setup.

I'm going to have to check this video out as soon as I can. I am just starting to get into recording so I have no clue where to start, lol

Hey thanks man.

Just a warning though. I haven't really aimed this at complete beginners. It does assume that the viewer is already familiar and confident in what their doing.

It's more of a demonstration of an approach to workflow to improve the effectiveness of the recording process as well as better sonic results.

I am planning to develop more stuff for those with less experience. For example this video doesn't tell you anything about how or when to use a compressor or what compression is used for etc.

If like you say, you have "no clue" right now then you may not have much use for this video just yet. However I recommend you watch it at least and draw your own conclusions.

I do welcome feedback at my website as to what people want to see in terms of resources/tutorials or anything else as I'm currently planning a video type course that takes the viewer through a typical recording from scratch of a song as a one-person, home studio, musician/composer type scenario.

Any other ideas about what people might want me to focus on I'm all ears.

Thanks for the interest and best of luck.
Rob

I've now added multitrack versions of 26 songs on my music website for download for people to mix/remix, practice, whatever.

It just requires you to register as a member for free.

Enjoy!

Downloadable Multitracks
