Default Poor Sound Quality when Playback?

Hi, I'm recording and bouncing drum beats from my mpc in Pro tools 7.4. The sound quaility is good when i record it but after I bounce to my computer the sound is very poor (sounds like its blown out). Does anyone know what the problem is and how I can solve it? Thanks.

Does it sound like it's playing at half tempo, too?

I've had this with 8.0.4 cs2. You'll need to post the requisite Sandra Report, not that it's going to help anyone. Just shows if you have a 5400 rpm audio drive connected and how much memory and CPU. But you're not going to get an answer until you post one. So download this file.

http://www.techspot.com/downloads/16...ndra-lite.html

I came to the conclusion that the file got corrupted, since the previous version ran fine, and every time I loaded the other one it sounded like sh&&. And I noticed that a four track file was using 95% processor. No scans running -- I know better. And I hadn't done anything. Just hit "Play". Trashed preferences. Rebooted the machine. No difference. So trashed the file.

So like with video games --- do a Save As, and Save As often.
