Default Euphonix vs Avid branded hardware in PT?

I did a search for this, and surprisingly didn't find anything.

Is there any practical differences between the Euphonix hardware and Avid branded hardware? Are they treated the same by Avid, or has the Euphonix lineup been abandoned and only the Avid branded hardware will work with Pro Tools?

Thanks,

Brandon

All the same stuff. Older Euphonix hardware might require a firmware update for newer Pro Tools use The silver faceplates are interchangeable.

Wonderful. Thank you, Albee.

So the biggest thing to do when buying used would be to make sure the seller is willing to transfer ownership so I can register it, correct?

No need to transfer ownership anymore. You can get to the Eucontrol software by registering through the free iPad app (Pro Tools | Control)

Even better! Thanks! Wish my wife had an iPad other than the unsupported 12.7 iPad Pro. :-/ Was really hoping to try Pro Tools Control out.
