Default PT 11.3 Quits Responding (Hangs) - First Launch (Part Of The Log Included)

PT 11.3 "Quits Responding" on it's first launch of the day and I have to force quit. This seems to be happening quite a but lately when I close out a session, or open my first session of the day after the computer has been shut down all night. I am on 11.3 running OS X 10.10.1. I will paste in the crash log below to see if anyone can make any sense of it. At the very top of the log you can see where it says "hang (process was unresponsive for 115 seconds before sampling)". Hope you all can help. This is annoying as heck. Not to mention that I get random spikes of my CPU when I am actually running a session. I am using a Universal Audio Apollo Twin, all my drivers are up to date.

Thanks.

I just ran the PT Prefs trasher, and I am now restarting, let's see what happens. Thanks for the link. Didn't understand the guys last post though about now having direct monitoring?

Some people randomnly get that in PT11; it can happen in simple 2 track sessions but not in bigger (30+ tracks) sessions. And there's no commonality in hardware or PT versions amongst those that have the issue. I had exactly one 9173 when I first fired up PT11.3.0 with a 16 track session but nothing since in either OSX 10.8.5 or OSX 10.9.5 in any size session.

Any resolution to this? Pro Tools goes to (not responding) when I close my sessions now. Frustrating. Will try trashing prefs selectively.

Never mind, trashing these appears to have fixed it. Not sure which one :)

1.AAE Preferences

2.com.avid.ProTools.plist

3.Database/catalogue...

I think I'm close to PTHD 11.3 nirvana
