Default Question about External HD- Mac formatted or standard?

First off let me say thanks to everyone here at DUC for all the info you've provided thus far- I've learned a ton just by going thru the different forums. My question is this: I plan on running Pro Tools 7.4 on Windows XP via Bootcamp on my iMac- should my Firewire HD be one of those "Mac Drives" specifically like you see on NewEgg or TigerDirect? Or since my Pro Tools will be in Windows will a standard HD do? And should I have the drive coming from my iMac first then my 002 Console or can you be tied to both? Thanks in advance people...
