Re: In Respect of Rubbish
Picksail,
As they say "no news is good news" so you must have done a great job on it -because some people usually like to take some swipes or slams at other peoples material (I suppose many are even critical of huge/label releases-me too). L.A.Branville |

Re: In Respect of Rubbish
Hey hurdy,
Thanks for the encouragement. I must say, that when I started this little BS 'promotional campaign' I opted to bring it to the most scrutinizing groups - the engineering forums. I really, expected to be hammered, especially here. But, that's what I wanted - unmitigated scrutiny. Thanks again for the support hurdy and please, feel free to email me at [email protected] |

Re: In Respect of Rubbish
Great, I'll e-mail you my address.
Also, if you send it with a return address I'll send two (2) complete CD's of my own (free) with original songs and songwriting (manufactured at Discmakers)-- Also, I'm almost done with an EP now consisting of some outakes and other interesting musical artifacts--but that's a month or so away. These were All done entirely in Pro Tools and entirely in the computer with my own production, mixing, and mastering (sorry about the drum loops but my drummer won't practice!). My music is mostly Rock and blues with some extended guitar jams, vocal tracks, and instrumentals--not for everone (but I grew tired of Jazz and Classical guitar back in the day at school)--but it is what it is. Thanks! L.A. Branville PS. I'll e-mail you now. |

Re: In Respect of Rubbish
I am excited to hear your work. And don't worry, all the drum tracks on my tune were programmed. You do what you can.

Re: In Respect of Rubbish
Clever piece of music. The overall tone of the instruments was very pleasant to listen to. The drum parts ( not orchestral drum parts) appeared to be slightly distant to me. I listened in Sony MDR V600 headphones. Nit pickin really
If this is your style I think it could be brought to a very commercial level by syncing with some visuals. If you haven't heard of Gentle Giant, search them out and listen to all their music Thanks for sharing!

Re: In Respect of Rubbish
desertdude,
Thanks for listening. I agree with you regarding the kit sound. The hats are entirely too wide-about twenty miles if played back through headphones. If you know of any resources that would be interested in this type of music for film, drop me a line at [email protected]. |
