I can confirm this still happening with PT7.1cs4. The MDW v1.4.0 was the only extra plugin other than the Digirack stuff. Seems to work fine though. Just don't change the H/W buffer.
Guess I'll have to get the new MDW 2.0 EQ now.

Dual 1Ghz Quicksilver
1.5G RAM, 10.4.3, PT7.1cs4
HD-3, Sync i/o, 192 i/o
Session - 48k, 16 bit
