The Dreaded 'Problem detected with audio clock...
Check clock source and sample rate are correct.'
Can any one help me? I have this set up: Hardware Overview: Model Name: iMac Model Identifier: iMac8,1 Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 Cache: 6 MB Memory: 1 GB Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz Boot ROM Version: IM81.00C1.B00 Using Protools 8.0.1 Digi Rack 002 External hard drive: G-TECH 465.8 GB Firewire drive with FW800 and a 1394b / 1394 Firewire cable (to Digi Rack 002) and a cable from the External to the computer: 1394b This is a new G-tech drive that is replacing an old one that was on the brink of death. I sent that one back to G-Tech and they nicely sent the new replacement in two days! I excitedly plugged it in and cranked up Protools and pressed record to find this miserable error message. Why it's having a problem when I changed nothing - I just don't know! The hard drive sees the digi rack but no audio. I've seen other people have this problem but in windows not mac. I would love for some one to treat me like a dummy and tell me step by step on how to approach this problem. I'm not well versed in technical lingo - a lot of that just goes over my head and I have to crack the books just to understand what people are talking about. I do hope someone can help me - or know any one in the Durham, NC area that I can call. I just want to get back to recording like I had been before changing to a new external hard drive. Please help and thank you in advance. |
