changes notification
Hi!
i´m currently testing Cloud Collab with a friend and we like it so far. One question: when i´m offline (e.g. PT not turned on, or computer is off) is it possible to get auto notifications that something´s changed? Thanks

Re: changes notification
Sadly not.
I brought this issue up with Tom Graham, but I've no idea if he escalated it, as he moved on from Avid a couple of days later. Here's Tom's reply to my initial question. And here is my follow up. As I said to another forum user ; Avid need to either use the existing system to push the messages, or utilise a 3rd party app such as Slack. Avid have shown they're plenty capable in the app department, with the free Eucon control software for the iPad; hopefully they will swiftly develop the Artist Community, and the Artist Chat system to the point that everything is interconnected (a drum they've been continually banging throughout their product range for several years). We need to be able to search the community, and freely communicate, anytime, anywhere, without an iLok, or Pro Tools being a necessary part of the equation. We need to be able to have those communications, tracked, logged, and pushed in any way we choose - so coms that happen as part of a collaboration, through Pro Tools, are permanently stored as part of the session, but are also pushed through the Artist Community / our email / to our mobile devices via an app, and vice versa, if we so choose. Cheers! |

Re: changes notification
notifications would be a logical feature. Could be easily made via the Application Manager. It has notifications already...

Re: changes notification
That would be a start, but the Application Manager is notoriously useless in terms of having up to date information (mine still thinks PT12.4 is the newest update available).
Of course, that still doesn't help if your computer doesn't have a live internet connection, or you are away from a computer, and relying on a mobile device for up to the minute info. |

Re: changes notification
Yes, i uninstalled this app, it's useless for me too. It has not a single feature i would need.
