Default Best way to make a temporary authorization

Me and my producer/artist are starting a tour with another producer's bus. This bus is outfitted with a PT HD system. (7.3) The previous engineer left us without the iLok that is going to authorize everything. I'm trying to reach him to get it FedEx'd to me, but in the interim I would like to at least authorize the basic setup. I know I won't get use of all the extra plugins. Do I have to spend $200 for the software download from DIGI just to get the iLok authorization? (I do have an iLok with me.) Or is there another LEGAL way for me to authorize PT or maybe not get all the software, just a code for less than $200 until I get the other iLok?
