No DC applied to the midi,

Yes you could do the work and align it, but that still doesn't change the fact that it's broken

That happens on 12.4 too here on my machine...always related to some specific plug-ins that introduce lots of latency.
Can be UAD...but also some native like the Audified u73b.

I'm on 12.4 and use mostly UAD plugins and I have never seen this problem.

FWIW, I just filed a support case, and in the dropdown list of versions to select, 12.6.1 is at the top.

To all the people fed up with Pro Tools and have moved to another DAW... Why are you wasting time posting on the DUC? Have you really nothing better to do?

Stop clogging the DUC with whiny static. It's pretty well established the vast majority hate Avid and I don't like it as a corporate entity either but enough already.

Also, I don't think anyone here has ANY clue as to how much hard work and expertise goes into beta testing Pro Tools by a very dedicated team.

You'd be hard pushed to find a DAW that hasn't hit low points at some points in it's history. Logic 8 was useless on it's release. Logic 10? Mac OS releases that have broken Apple's own plug-in format. TWICE. I've lost track of the number of Cubase debacles over the years.

I'm one of those people, though I do use PT for existing projects, so I'm still a user. But I have a current license, not yet expired. So, in short, I have just as much right to be here as you. I'm here keeping abreast of the current versions and people's experiences with them. I'm hoping I'll eventually have a solid, reliable version to keep.

As for knowing what it takes to beta test PT, I know exactly how much work is involved. I was a Software Engineer, Team Lead, and Project manager for many large projects over a 25 year span. I've led beta efforts, and I've been a part of dozens of test cycles. Some were at least as big as PT.

The current quality level of PT is not consistent with a solid beta release. Again, I know because I've been a part of dozens of them.

You have no grounds or evidence for questioning the quality of Avid's beta program nor the difficult circumstances they are no doubt working under Avid's current top level management.

I'm not getting into a flame fest over this. I'm just fed up of the constant whingeing, often by people who probably who probably haven't followed Avid's installation, system set up and compatibility requirements. Don't have up-to-date or compatible plug-ins. Haven't bothered to trash prefs and properly troubleshoot.
