Normalize
When I normalize what is really going on?
I was doing some work last night and decided to experiment with the normalize feature. When I did that I lost all the cross-fade points I had done and all the regions became one. Also why is it that if I lower the percentage from 100% (default) to say 70 or 80 percent that the volume increases because in the window next to the percentage it seems like I'm lowering the peak to some minus number? Shouldn’t the peak then really be lowered and not be increased? Thanks. GtrDude. |

Re: Normalize
Normalize finds the peak volume and then raises the level to match the percentage of highest possible volume...(100% will raise the peak to -0 dB)
