Issues installing ProTools 10 on external SSD

Hi,I am trying to install Pro Tools 10 on an external SSD (Samsung EVO 500 Gb)
This SSD is formatted in Extended Mac OS Jouornaled and I installed on it also Mountain Lion (I am starting my macbook pro 17 using mountain lion on that ssd)
The Pro Tools 10.3.8 Installer tells me that there is an error installing...
Is there something I am doing wrong or any known issue?

Maybe I'm mistaken or this isn't the issue - but shouldn't Pro Tools be installed on the computer's system drive? I didn't think you could use Pro Tools when installed on an external drive.

What *exact* error did the installer give?

What exact OS X version is installed on that external drive.

If you have an external drive with OS X on it and you are booted from that drive you should have *no* problems installing Pro Tools software on that drive as well (I do it often).

However you need to only install Pro Tools while actually booted from that drive and you also need to make sure that both drives do not have the same name. Make sure you really are booted from the drive you think you are.

Are you following the install instruction in the Pro Tools install documentation?
