Default The "-" key

This is a great power user tip. The "-" key next to the "0" on the top of the QWERTY keyboard will toggle a track with a curson on it from waveform to volume. Option and "-" will toggle all from waveform to volume and back again. When you know this you will wonder how you ever got along without it. It also works with grouped tracks. No need to go to that silly little triange again for volume stuff.....

Yeah, it's good. But why didn't they make it even more useful so that you would be able to switch between all data views, not only between waveform and volume...?

Normally you do not need to hold down anything else to get it to work. This works as described on all 5 of our systems.
As far as whether it should be able to select all the other veiws well lets see.......
Tip #2 of sleadleys quick tips.....If you hold down Apple and Control and Mouse click on either the Volume/Pan or the track name, it will make the display show...Volume/Pan or waveform. That should make the critics happy......

Yeah, I've used that control+apple clicking thing for about a year now...But even it isn't good enuff!

It's too bad Quickeys can't handle the track data view menus...And why the heck I can't use Quickeys to assign the Edit Window Shows items!!!??? It does work for Mix Window Shows items, though...

Mr Zeeman,
I am using the release version 5.1.1 on a 9600, but as I have said this makes no difference. We have a couple of G4's and they work the same.

Well I'm puzzled. I cannot get the "-" to work for me period. The cool thing is I found other features hidden beneath the surface in my attempt to figure this out. Still, I could really use this feature.

...cursor on a track...just "-" huh? Is this working for everyone but me?
I'm still using 5.01 hmmm... could that be it?
