import audio in 5.1

Since upgrading to 5.1 Ive found a few problems importing audio......
After shift apple I , the system it takes about 15 seconds for the dialog box to appear

I cant seem to use the keycommands - play etc...

If I go to sherlock to do a search, with the dialog open, when I come back to PT, all the buttons are still greyed out, although I can still navigate with the keyboard (arrows etc) It takes an error message caused by random apple+key pressing to get back in control...

Is this dumb operator error or something else?
