Default AMD Ryzen 3rd Gen and PT 12

Hi everybody!
I am helping a friend set up a PC to work with Pro Tools 12.
After some research I have now come to the question of whether to build it with an Intel or AMD Processor.
Specifically: is there anybody here that has been using Pro Tools 12 with a Ryzen 5 3600?
I have read some reports of buffer issues with Pro Tools for older AMD processors of the 1st and 2nd generation but could not find anything recent.
Based on following benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 3600 does seem like quite good value (compared to the more expensive i5 9600K):

However I am not sure how much this applies to Pro Tools 12 specifically.
The Intel alternative within her budget would be an i5 8600K. I am aware that Intel is the recommended processor as that is what avid tests with.
But I have also been finding anecdotal reports that AMDs 3rd generation processors play well with Pro Tools.
If anybody could give some feedback I would be greatful!

Additional information on her setup:

Pro Tools 12 Ultimate
Windows 10
RME Fireface 802

And the PC I am planning to build for her:

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor

ASRock B450M PRO4 Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard

G.Skill Aegis 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory

Crucial P1 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive

MSI GeForce GT 710 1 GB Video Card

the full build can be found here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HBYcmg

Currently she works on an old Sony VAIO laptop with an i5 3210M, the current purpose is to build a solid value desktop PC (up to 700$) for use with Pro Tools 12 Ultimate.
